The InLine® USB‑A terminal block adapter offers a practical solution for transferring USB‑2.0 signals to a 5‑pin terminal block without soldering or cable connection. Typical applications can be found in the areas of service, test setups, development, or prototyping.
The standard-size USB‑A socket is directly connected to a 5-pin screw terminal block. The clear labeling of the terminals – 1: Ground (–), 2: D+, 3: D–, 4: Voltage (+), 5: Shield (S) – enables easy and reliable signal assignment. The terminal connections with a 5.0 mm grid dimension support single wires in the 16–26 AWG range.
Wiring is carried out with the aid of a flat-head screwdriver. Thanks to its compact housing, the adapter is particularly space-saving – e.g. in test equipment, mobile measuring stations, or in laboratories.
